The Bot! Such pathos! Such bathos! So lovable and cringe-inducing! So...sad. *sniff* She appears in just four episodes, but her character arc is one of the most complete on the show. Grand love, thrilling heroics, domestic bliss(?), and tragic martyrdom - it's all there. But I want more!

So, in looking through my fics I found this relatively short one set after The Gift and just edging into the beginning of season 6. Not Spuffy, it's actually pre-Spander/Spanderish and has a sequel that (in spite of the outrage from Spanderites when Buffy comes back) is definitely Spander.
